Lemförder was founded in 1946 in the town of the same name in Lower Saxony. The company specialized in ball joints and tie rods and became the preferred OEM supplier for Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Volkswagen. Today Lemförder is part of the ZF group.

Lemförder produces in Germany, Spain, USA, Brazil and China. All parts are manufactured to OEM specifications and are identical to original equipment parts.

Lemförder offers ball joints, tie rods, tie rod ends, control arms, stabiliser bushes, stabiliser link rods, steering gears, steering boots and axle boots. The range is OEM-identical and covers all common European vehicles.

Lemförder parts are 100% OEM-identical — the company uses the same manufacturing drawings and materials as for original equipment. Ball joints are tested for torque stability and service life. Certifications: IATF 16949, ISO 9001.

Lemförder, as part of the ZF group, develops chassis components for electric vehicles and autonomous driving systems. The company benefits from the ZF group's R&D investments of over 7% of revenue.
